The Rugger Team is an exploration force tasked with surveying new worlds. Aboard the Rugger fleet are 15 specially trained pilots each driving their own mechanized robot. When combined, they are able to form the Dairugger, a gigantic fighting robot. One day, on a mission to colonize a new planet, the Rugger fleet is attacked by the Galveston Empire. The Galveston home planet is dying and the militarized faction of their space fleet are on a mission to find a new home world — by any means necessary. Now, the Rugger Guard must defend Earth's fleet while finding a way to put an end to Galveston's aggression.
